It’s a little trickier for an inside corner, because it’s usually not going to be truly square. One solution is to “cope” the trim, which means cutting one of the pieces to fit around the other instead, of butting up against it. Measure the wall on one side of the inside corner. Transfer the measurement to a piece of chair rail. Set the chair rail on your miter saw, with the blade set at 90 degrees, so it will cut straight across the width. Make the cut. Hold the chair on the wall with the cut side butted up against the adjacent wall. Make sure it’s level and at the level you want your chair rail to go. Secure it to the wall using your trim nailer.
