Can ducklings be raised with chicks?

0

Not unless you can watch them 24/7! After one week of age, the duckling will grow much faster than the chicks and will become overly aggressive and strong when eating and drinking water and the chicks will get wet and can chill and die. The duckling will soon take over. Chicks can also get trampled by this eager agressiveness. Also, most chick feeds are medicated and should not be fed to ducks or they can die. It is better to feed all a duck feed but your chicks will not grow properly as they all need different ingredients in their feeds. It’s best to raise them separately.

I’d say yes. BUT chickens can get diseases from ducks visa versa. AND ducklings can swim, chicks cant, if you put a pool or something in the pen the chicks may drown.Other fence off the pool and only let the duckling in there or separate them, but other than that it should be fine, just keep things tidy.
