The microprocessors are used in trains or strain stations to centralize the overall working of trains and train network. The microprocessors are reliable data processors. They work without mistakes. The train unit needs a system that works properly and if it fails it must fail without causing damage. A microprocessor helps in the simultaneous working of different train operations. This method of working is called parallel processing. There are four systems of working and are as follows: serial, matrix, multiprocessor, and conveyor. A serial processor utilizes only one microprocessor and performs functions in series. Multipurpose process has independent devices which perform functions simultaneously. A matrix employs a common control unit and uses works like a multipurpose processor. Microprocessor is used in different devices and important one being anti-collision device.
