How Do You Make A Great Martini?
Everyone should know how to make a great Martini! Combine 2oz of gin and 1tsp. of dry vermouth into a shaker or pitcher. For a Martini Holland style, use dutch genever gin. For a Martini Majador, use tequila instead of gin. Add ice and shake or stir. There is no holy miracle behind making the perfect martini. Stir or shake. Melted water from the ice is a necessary ingredient to a proper martini to mellow the “burn” off the alcohol. Strain the ingredients into a well-chilled martini glass. There is only one acceptable glass, and it is a stemmed martini glass. The larger the better! GARNISH: Olives – Pimento stuffed Olives are probably the most well known, experiment with Blue Cheese stuffed olives, whole marinated olives, garlic and almond stuffed olives and spicy olives!
