Are there specific rules or age requirements to renting a car?
Most rental car companies require that renters be at least 25 years of age and have a valid driver’s license and major credit card. Some car rentals require a “credit card guarantee.” These will be designated with the text “Guarantee Required” below the rental rate. For some rentals, a credit card may be required at the time of booking to guarantee specific car class availability. A minimum cancellation period may apply to avoid a substantial cancellation fee. Credit card guarantees generally apply to rentals of specialty vehicles (luxury models, vans, etc). Other rental restrictions may apply.
