There are professional training courses offered by a number of post-secondary institutions in North America. The local college of applied arts and technologies where I live offers a sommelier program through their school of part-time studies. The courses in this program include topics such as: – Wine Tasting – Grape Varieties – Vinification – Old World Wine Regions – New World Wine Regions – Wine and Food Matching Just the thing for a second career!
