Can CSA make same day payments?
if they said “no” then you have to live with that answer the support is only for your child or children and not for you, if money is tight then you need to do something about it get a job ask your family whatever it is not up-to your ex to support you only your child/children. and you got an answer from the CSA and they said “NO” so live with it unless you can ask your ex to give you some more money but it’s up-to him or unless you go to court and explain the situation to them.
My experience of the CSA indicates they never do anything promptly. Sorry – you can’t depend on them and have little chance of a same day payment. You might be able to approach the DSS with their letters though and seek help there. BUT If their delay has caused you distress and/or financial problems then make a formal complaint and demand compensation for their delay. There are two ways of doing this: 1. Ask your MP to complain to the CSA for you. They are usually pretty quick at responding to MPs 2. Go through the CSA complaints procedure outlined in their booklet ‘How do I complain about the service I get from the Child Support Agency’ (booklet number CSL308). You can get a copy of this through the CSA or – probably quicker- from your local Citizen’s Advice Bureau who may also help you with advice on money matters and put you in touch with a lawyer who could make the complaint for you.
