How Do You Install Car Windshield Wipers?
The windshield wipers on your car remove dirt and other debris, keeping your view of the road clear. Windshield wipers will wear out and dirt will build up on them. They should be cleaned and replaced periodically. If worn out wipers are not replaced, they could eventually damage the windshield. Step 1 Lift the wiper arm and wiper off of the windshield carefully. Step 2 Push the small retaining clip that holds the wiper blade assembly to the arm shaft and pull the wiper off the arm. Use a small blade screwdriver as a pry to release the clip. Step 3 Return the arm back to the windshield of the car gently. Step 4 Install the new wiper blade. Lift the wiper arm and position the new wiper blade assembly on the shaft of the arm. Push with steady pressure until it snaps into place. Step 5 Put the wiper blade and arm back on the windshield carefully. Step 6 Test your car’s new windshield wipers.
