How Do You Fix A Winsock Error?
A WinSock or Windows Socket is part of your Windows XP operating system that allows access to the Internet. These sockets sometimes experience problems or get “stuck.” The computer can lock up (generally with a browser open) or demonstrate other erratic behavior. WinSock errors can sometimes be fixed by simply rebooting your computer; this will reload the Windows information and clear out what is stuck. But what if a reboot doesn’t fix the problem?
