What is QPL qualification?

Before the Department of Defense (DoD) can purchase or procure services, products or materials for use by the U.S. Military, these items must be inspected and tested to government specifications. After extensive testing and inspections, those items that meet the specifications are considered to be “qualified” for DoD procurement. DoD maintains QPLs (Qualified Product Lists) for various programs and these lists show the products’ government designation (also referred to as a “JAN” number) and the authorized vendor or supplier. LND currently has six (6) electron tubes that have been qualified for DoD procurement.
