Removing hand grips from your motorcycle should be fairly simple, unless they are glued on. Then it is a tad more difficult, but not too much. There are many reasons why one would want to take off old motorcycle grips, so knowing how is important. Follow a few simple tricks and you’ll be able to take the old grips off without cutting them, enabling them to be used again in the future. Remove Motorcycle Hand Grips Step 1 Remove the Torx screws from the top and bottom of the switch housing on the handle bar. Step 2 Carefully pull the two housings apart. If you have wires running through the bars, be careful not to damage the wiring when separating your housings. Step 3 Choose a screwdriver with a thin blade, one that is at least as long as the motorcycle hand grip. Insert the screwdriver blade under the end of the rubber grip.
