Why cant I recycle Tetra Paks?

0

Tetra Pak cartons are difficult to recycle as they are a mixture of plastic and paper, therefore we cannot currently take them under the kerbside recycling collection scheme. Bournemouth Borough Council has been in talks with the Liquid Food Carton Manufacturers Association (LFCMA) with regard to the recycling Tetra Paks through banks located at neighbourhood reycling centres around the borough. The neighbourhood recycling centres themselves are also under and Tetra Pak banks will be considered under the new contract commencing June 2009. If Tetra Pak banks are introduced the decision will be publicised.
