How Do You Fix A Mirror In A Frame?
Hanging paintings on the wall of a small room can often make the room appear smaller. Hanging a framed mirror in the same space will make the room appear larger and more open. Finding the ideal framed mirror to match your décor is not always an easy task. Finding the perfect frame, then fixing a mirror within it, is far less challenging. Step 1 Remove the frame’s glass pane and cardboard backing. Bend the pins on the back of the frame and pull the cardboard and glass pane from the inset. Step 2 Measure the glass pane’s width, height and thickness. Step 3 Have a mirror cut to the glass pane’s measurements. Choose a mirror that is close to the glass pane’s thickness. Step 4 Clean the mirror with glass cleaner, removing all marks. Step 5 Hold the mirror by the edges and set it into the frame’s inset, mirror-side down. Step 6 Replace the cardboard backing behind the mirror within the frame. Step 7 Secure the mirror and cardboard in the frame by bending the frame’s pins back in place.
