How Do You Solve PC Mouse Freeze?
Determining the cause of a frozen PC mouse can be difficult and time consuming. It’s very frustrating to move your mouse around only to realize nothing is happening on the screen. Your cursor is stuck, and sometimes your entire system is in a state of suspension. You restart your computer and it runs fine for a while, but soon the problem occurs again. Newer optical and wireless input devices seem to be more prone to PC freeze. Things like insufficient memory, program conflicts and hardware failure can all cause problems. Clean the PC Mouse Step 1 For a standard PS/2 mouse, unplug the mouse, turn it over, then twist the retaining ring counter clockwise to remove it. Remove the trackball inside the mouse. Step 2 Clean the trackball with warm water and dry carefully. Clean the rollers inside the mouse with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol. Replace the trackball then secure it with the retaining ring.
