How to Cover Shaped Cornice Boards Step 1 Measure the front width, height and sides of the cornice board, adding one inch to each section. This will be the fabric and batting measurements. Step 2 Cut the fabric and batting to the appropriate measurements. Leave the extra one inch to accommodate for mistakes.
