Whether its the X-Games on TV, the video games we play, or even just a few kids goofing around on a skateboard, it seems as though extreme sports has finally forced its way into popular culture. The amazing stunts that these athletes can perform hold a natural allure, and logically, you want to follow in their footsteps. So, this lesson will attempt to teach you one of the quintessential skateboarding flip tricks: the kickflip. Put your feet in ollie position, with your back foot on the very tip of the board, and your front foot just short of the forward bolts. Now, pick up speed and pop the board, just like you would if you were doing an ollie. While in the air, push your foot all the way to the nose of the board, and kick. This will cause the board to start spinning underneath you. Watch the board as it spins below you, and once the deck has righted itself, slam your feet down to prevent further rotation.
