What Happened to The James Gang?
And that’s the question I’ve received more than any other – perhaps ever. Your interest and concern has greatly touched me. Now, let’s answer the question… In late March 2008 my boss asked if I’d be interested in programming and doing the morning show on KXBG – Big Country 97.9. Clear Channel Northern Colorado launched Big Country in November 2007. Unfortunately, the station had gotten off to a slow start. I have a reasonably solid background in programming country radio and, considering the priority the company has placed on KXBG, the move made sense – for the company. I wasn’t crazy about the idea. Don’t get me wrong – I love the challenge – but I was just having so damn much fun doing The James Gang. Scott & Sadie in the Morning, the show I do now on Big Country, has rapidly evolved in to a very fun program. I enjoy the time I spend on the air, but greatly miss discussing the issues of the day.
