An Easy way to Prepare Vegetable Khichdi, a very healthy food! Step 1 Wash the Rice and Green gram dal and cook them together with 3 cups water. Wash all the vegetables and half cook them with water and little salt. Step 2 Add about 3 tablespoons butter in a hot pan and add a spoonful of cumin seeds,black pepper and let them splutter Now add jalapenos according to the level of spice and then add half onion and let it turn a little brown. Step 3 Now add the half cooked vegetables and rice and cook them together for about 5-10 minutes with about half cup water and little salt. Now serve the Khichdi with Cilantro and some butter on the top.
