Saturn SL2 Coolant Leak?

I did a coolant flush last night on my saturn SL2 because I was changing the thermostat and now I have a coolant leak. My cousins a beginner mechanic so I listened to him when he told me this. I drained the coolant by loosening the pocock on the radiator and also from the bolt that goes up thorough the bottom of the block. I got most of it out. Then we remoeved the old thermostat and put everything back together without the thermostat in it. We filled the coolant resevoir up with 100% water and let it get to operating temps (this was to clean the excess coolant from the water pump). We drained the water as we did the coolant and reinstalled the new thermostat. I filled it up with 50/50 dexcool radiator fluid, as the book said. We ran it for about 10 mins and bled the system at the same time. The heat was now working good so I new the thermostat was working, and there were no puddles under the car.
