What is the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)?
The EM CX RA WBS and the EM CX O&M WBS are the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers required (ER 1110-3-1301) cost estimate structures for Remedial Action and Operation and Maintenance costs. The primary purpose of the structure is to report, aggregate, and disseminate historical cost data in a standard format using the Historical Cost Analysis System (HCAS). A project-specific WBS can also be developed for any project, however this does not replace the requirement for upward reporting of project costs in the standard EM CX RA WBS format and/or the EM CX O&M WBS format. The EM CX RA WBS and the EM CX O&M WBS were last updated in February 1996.
