Switch 5400 fan trays can be hot-swapped as long as the new tray is installed within three minutes of the previous tray being removed (to prevent switch shutdown due to overheating). In the event of fan failure, you should call your country’s ProCurve Support Center. If you would like to have a spare fan tray on hand, the following part numbers may be used for ordering at http://www.hp.com/buy/parts (at the top of the page select a different country if needed).
