Being an emergency medical technician (EMT) can be a rewarding career. Receiving the proper training and education is critical for success as an EMT. A combination of basic coursework combined with hands-on training makes up an EMT’s learning experience. Online EMT training programs are limited in that all EMT programs require some on-site training to become certified. Basic courses may be offered online and are designed to complement hands-on training. If you want to become a paramedic, you’ll need to become certified as an EMT first.
