Epson TWAIN is the software application that is used to run the scanner and scan the image. It acts as an interface between your image application and the scanner. The following TWAIN-compliant applications are included in your scanner package. Use the one appropriate for your purpose. EPSON Smart Panel ArcSoft PhotoImpression You can also scan images using common TWAIN-compliant applications such as Imaging for Windows. When you open your imaging application such as ArcSoft PhotoImpression or other TWAIN compliant program, you need to select Epson TWAIN as the scanner source. When you click on scan, the TWAIN program will start. Then you can define how the image is to be scanned in the TWAIN application. Once the image scan is completed you can close Epson TWAIN and the scanned image will open on the application desktop, where you can then edit and/or save the image.
