Can a venomoid snake still bite?
Yes of course! Venomoid snakes still have fangs, and like any animal, they are capable of biting if mishandled, frightened or threatened. You should treat a venomoid snake with the same degree of respect that you would afford a specimen with intact venom glands and/or venom ducts. Bites by venomoid snakes may become infected if not adequately cleaned with disinfectant afterwards, and you should take sensible precautions regarding any risk of tetanus or other infection.
