Examples of recent articles… German Life magazine is less about life in German speaking countries as it is about German culture. That means that while readers will find articles about German, Swiss, and Austrian locales, they will also find articles about German communities in the United States as well. In the latest issue of German Life, for example, there’s an article about New Glarus, Wisconsin, a town that is startlingly reminiscent of Switzerland. And the article has some stunning pictures to prove the point, complete with a shot of cows grazing in a beautiful verdant field. The only thing I didn’t see in the picture that I would have expected to see in Switzerland were cowbells. Although German Life seems to be most suited to German, Swiss, and Austrian Americans, I do find useful articles about places that are actually in Europe.
