Osage Connect was started at a time when there were no Internet access providers in Osage County. Through a cooperative arrangement with the Osage R-1, R-2 and R-3 School Districts, service was established in several Osage county telephone exchanges under the name Osage Connect. Since then, Osage Connect has expanded to provide toll-free dialup access in 8 telephone exchanges in Osage county. Osage Connect presently provides access to approximately 1,500 members using 274 phone lines. Osage Connect is a non-profit member financed organization.
