WHO IS SUUNTO X6HR FOR?
It is an ideal gadget for all who love outdoors and sportsmen in general. I have been using Suunto products for 4 years now and I found them to be fine equipment for recreational uses (running, skiing, mountaineering and even bycicling, although for bycicling it lacks the capacity to provide the measurements byciclists cherish the most: i.e. speed). The X6HRM with its heart rate monitor truly accomplished a remarkable set of tasks for the (not so small) fringe of public who enjoys outdoors. How about swimming ? Well, this is a tough one to answer. I must say I have had and others did too mixed experiences. Technically, there is no problem in using the watch while swimming (it is water proof up to a depth of 100 metres or 330 feet) so you can time your swimming, but you NEED TO BE VERY CAREFUL to two things: 1. DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTON while in the water (hence no split times); 2. BE VERY CAREFUL when replacing the battery that the O ring is set properly and works properly too or the wat
