What does RTV mean?
RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanizing) silicones begin to cure or vulcanize when exposed to an environment. Typically at standing room temperature but some RTV silicones need higher temperatures to cure. RTV silicones are thermoset products; which means that once cured, they cannot be returned to their original state. In other words, once the silicone has cured and formed as a solid bead mass, it can never be turned back into a liquid form to be reused.
