How does eXLoad work?
eXLoad is an Oracle Application form, like any other standard form in Oracle Application (Ex Purchase Order Form, Invoice Form, and Employees Form). The user can select a file from the local drive or network using the eXLoad form and the delimiter can be specified in the form itself. The eXLoad form also assumes that the file consists of the column headers and the user has the option to uncheck this function. The eXLoad user can specify any delimiter (comma, tab(T), #, $, !, & etc). The file is expected to be in a csv format or tab format for higher performance. If the column values consist of commas in between values, the tab format is to be used, otherwise the comma delimited file from Excel is used.
