What is CBI?
CBI stands for Career Based Intervention CBI is a Vocational Education Program run by the Knox County Career Center It is a worked based program that allows students to gain experience in the work force while attending school. Students go to school for part of the day and then go to work. The curriculum includes such topics as: Labor Laws Safety in the Workplace Getting along with Employers & Co-Workers Good Employment Skills Income Taxes- W-4’s, W-2’s, Filing taxes, etc. Life Skills- Budgeting, Banking Issues, Insurance Issues, Getting & Using Credit A component of the Curriculum includes Social Studies issues.
It means ‘Confidential Business Information’ and applies to specific information that a supplier wishes to maintain as a trade secret. The information must be provided for detailed review to the Hazardous Materials Information Review Commission (in Ottawa). The commission may grant exemption for disclosure and will require their registration number (and date) to be printed in the hazardous ingredients section of the MSDS. Trade secret exemption can only be granted for ingredient disclosure and identification — never for hazard disclosure, personal protective equipment or first aid information.
