AVIA is a site about military aviation which has a long and troubled history. I had originally made AVIA for a short time in 1997 with only modern aircraft. However, I changed hosts, didn’t have a backup and lost all the info (yeah, there was a lot) after being online for about 2 months. In 2003 I decided to re-do it starting with the World War II aircraft and although it was technically finished, was only online briefly before I took it down again since it was still quite incomplete. Last year I decided to rework it using my newly acquired PHP/mySQL skills which would enable the site to be more interactive and database-driven. I have only finished it now, with all the World War II aircraft online and more to come (mainly modern-era planes) in the future.
