What is the WSOP?
The World Series of Poker has been held annually since 1970 at the Binion’s Horseshoe, Downtown, Las Vegas. The WSOP, as it is known, is the ultimate achievement in any poker player’s career and to gain that coveted title of Word Champion is what every player dreams of. All the major poker players attend each year to battle for the title. The prize pool for the 2005 event was a staggering $52,818,600! Every player who made it to the top table became a millionaire – not bad for five days work!
