What is OUTs, EV and Groups (g) metrics?
OUTs. An OUT is any unseen card. If drawn, it will improve your hand to the possible win combination. For example, assume that a Texas hold ’em board looks like this after the third round: 3♠ Q♥ 7♣ K♠, and that you are holding A♦ 10♥. Your current hand is just a high ace.You have a minimum of four outs for certain, because they will make your hand better: those are the J♠, J♥, J♣, J♦ (which will give you an ace-high straight). However J♣ will fill your ace-high straight, but will also make it possible for some opponent to have a club flush. Groups (g). David Sklansky’s in his book Essays on Poker proposed to divide starting hand cards into nine different groups. These grouping will help a newbie to facilitate different concepts of gameplay. Group 1 is the best and 9 is the weakest. (These hand rankings first appeared in David Sklansky’s book Essays on Poker.) Expected Value (EV). EV is the Expected Value for your cards. Expected value is a statistic value which is based on 122,031,244
