Why the name Hypno?
Hypno came from the word hypnotize. When I was in school, I used to organize shows and the one that actually prompted me into clothes designing was named Hypnotize, held in Ilorin in 2001. Q: What prompted you into organizing shows? A: I’ve always loved entertainment. I write songs, sing underground and draw a lot of influence from hip-hop. So show organizing is just a way of living the life I love. Q: How did the Ilorin event prompt you into clothes designing? A: We made free promotional stuff to be shared at the venue including T-shirts but when we got to Ilorin, people so loved the T-shirts that they actually bought them from us before we began to share them. So immediately I got back to Lagos, I just started working on fashion designing and making a clothing line.
