Why night sweat in TB?
Hi! Fever and sweating is your body’s way of overheating microbes in order to kill them; when the body is asleep, all non-essential mechanisms are effectively shut down and so the body seizes the opportunity to up the temperature a bit. Sweating will almost always accompany a raised temperature and so night sweats, in answer to your question, could happen day or night, so long as the patient is asleep. I hope this helps!
