We had ‘Come, let us join our cheerful songs’ at our wedding & a couple of others which I can’t remember at this moment; I’ll have to dig out the order of service again! At my brother’s wedding, the minister joked that perhaps they should have chosen, ‘Hold thou my hand, so weak I am and helpless’, or ‘Dear Lord and Father of mankind, forgive our foolish ways’!
