You cannot legally keep any wild native bird of prey anywhere in the US unless you are a licensed falconer, zoo, wildlife rehab or nature center. If you are interested in falconry, you must first train as an apprentice for 2 years under an already licensed falconer. Only then can you even think about obtaining your own bird.
