Why were jim crow laws inhumane?
They said that every race had to live, socialize, and work separately. The Jim Crow was made to make life harder for African Americans, it included things like the poll tax, the literacy test, to make it harder for them to vote also. The Jim Crow laws were biased and racist, and made to make life harder for black people. Some of these laws made it harder for them to obtain their own land and property, these laws forced many black people to become sharecroppers and to live in poverty after the Civil War.
