Can i sue my dentist?
From what you say your case sounds very weak. There appears to be no negligence on the part of the dentist. There does appear to be some room for better communication on the part of the dentist. Just because the dentist changed a drill does not mean that it broke in your mouth. There is no reason for that assumption. If there was decay under the temporary filling the decay could have been very close to the nerve of the tooth. Sometimes when a filling is done close to the nerve of the tooth the nerve becomes irritated and ends up needing a root canal. If you do not want a root canal your other choice is to have the tooth removed. It may have been that the dentist did all she could to save the tooth but the tooth was already too far gone and it was just falling apart when she started to try and save it. I think if you tried to sue no attorney would take this case. Sorry.
