Just what is a scooter anyway?

Currently the word “scooter” is used for a number of different vehicles which causes considerable confusion. There are “mobility scooters” used by handicapped people. There are a variety of “sidewalk scooters” for use by kids – stand-up scooters either with or without an engine, small sit-down scooters, etc. They don’t travel at much over 10 miles an hour. There are electric scooters which generally do not travel very fast. (except we are carrying the new e-Max electric scooters which are pretty swell!) And some people call their motorcycles, scooters. It’s all quite confusing. At New Urban Transport we offer a variety of high quality, street legal, gas-powered motor scooters. These are vehicles which can be titled and ridden by an adult. These have a step-though frame (like the old Vespas had). The slowest of ours will go about 40 mph. The fastest can travel on the interstate. They all have warranties. Most are fully automatic but some have manual shifting, choke, gas.
