What is an Internet Virus?
A virus is a nasty piece of programming usually disguised as something else that can break through your computer’s defenses often causing some damage and automatically spreading to other computer users. There are many versions of viruses. Some will wreak their effect upon execution, some will lie dormant waiting for another software to execute them. Some will look for passwords or credit card details, some overwrite your programs and hard drive, some will be just annoying and reboot your computer once a month.
