What is kettle corn?
The exact history of kettle corn is unknown…or at least debatable. Some claim that long ago cowboys, hog renderers, or Fred Flintstone (depending on the storyteller) threw some lard, hog fat, or other dead animal parts into a giant kettle. Some popcorn and whatever sweetener were tossed in and cooked over a wood fire. Others swear their Grandmother started it!Whatever…Who cares how it got started. We do know that kettle corn is making a BIG comeback and is a crowd favorite at street fairs, special events and some farmers markets. Its unique and powerful aroma is irresistible! For example, we have done the Rainier Challenge, a big soccer tournament in Puyallup for the last ten years. Several hundred teams come from all over the state for a weekend of soccer and fun. Other events we enjoy are car, biker, and sporting gatherings. Give us a call. We would be glad to help your event be a success. Bertolino’s Kettle Korn is popular at all kinds of events and special occasions. [HOME] [Me
