How does a pen or cursor work?
A signal is transmitted by the pen or cursor and received by a grid of vertical and horizontal conductors in the tablet. An electronic controller scans the vertical and horizontal conductors and establishes the physical location of the pen or cursor. The location information is converted into an X/Y coordinate and made available to the software application via the Serial or USB interface.
