Why not bulldoze & burn?
These dozers appear proud of their work, and they have done a fine job. However, some of these piles are bigger than the huge oak trees, and the oaks are going to be scorched when the cedar is burned. Scars on the trees and the ground will last for years, and the bare and disturbed soil will begin to wash away with the first rain. This is what a burn scar looks like – for years! Brush fires get so hot they not only burn all the seeds, but also all the soil-borne nutrients and microbes, rendering the soil sterile and vulnerable to erosion. This is a good way to grow rocks! Also notice the damage to the oak trees nearby.
