Everyone who is affilated with UVM has a network identifier (Net-ID), which is also known as your Zoo username. This unique identifier is formed from your name, typically (but not always!) your first initial and up to 7 characters of your last name. Middle initials and numeral suffixes are used to assure each netid is unique. Network IDs are not changed except in rare cases of legal name changes.
