The content filtering feature uses the Ratings and Expanded Ratings (advisories) information supplied by the programmers to set rules about what content is exposed to you on the site. You can set a passphrase to protect these settings. We suggest using the Rating (PG, 18A etc.) information as your primary filtering method and expanded ratings (V,L,N etc.) as a secondary.
