MANUFACTURER OF THIAMINE HCL: Abbott Hosp USES: Thiamine, (vitamin B1), is important for carbohydrate metabolism. Thiamine supplements are necessary to treat or prevent thiamine deficiency. HOW TO USE: This medication is injected into a vein or muscle up to 3 times a day. Follow any specific dietary recommendations made by your doctor or nutritionist. SIDE EFFECTS: This may cause nausea, weakness, a feeling of warmth, sweating, itching or restlessness. The injection site may be tender. If these symptoms continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you experience: shortness of breath, tightness of the throat.
