The BD server can be moved to another computer without using the installation program. You can ZIP the content of the BD installation directory and unpack the content on another computer. If you run BD from the command prompt, the server can be considered a portable application. If you prefer to run the server as a Windows service, the program must be installed. The program can be installed from the command prompt without using the installation program. You can run the server without installing BD in the console window by typing: bdd -console Type “bdd -help” on the command line for a list of the various options. Install the service: bdd -install Start the service: bdd -start You may install BD on multiple computers provided that no more than one of those computers is in use simultaneously.
