Torts are generally separated into different categories: economic torts, intentional torts, negligence torts, statutory torts, nuisance torts, etc. Within those categories are specific actionable torts: trespassing, defamation, slander, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false imprisonment, restraint of trade and nuisance are just a few of the existing torts. BTW, there are also non-criminal torts of battery, assault and fraud to name a few, where the person can sue, if they wish civilly and press criminal charges separately.
