How did the BCC get started and why?
The BCC formed in the summer of 2007 in response to improper management of Lost Horse Canyon which is home to some of the best climbing in Montana. Land managers reopened a rock quarry which threatens the pristine nature of the canyon without much consideration of the user groups which frequent the area. The BCC was created as a unified voice, bringing together climbers from hundreds of miles around, to enable better dialogue and communication between climbers and the rest of the world.
